Mystery Set
|
Welcome, here you will find a somewhat complete listing
of my private collection of Anchor Hocking Fire King Forest Green Charm
Glassware. The set is not for sale and I am currently not able
to purchase any new pieces. I updated this listing on September 24, 2006.
This is not by any means a complete listing of pieces available, but it
will give you an idea of what the set looks like and some characteristics
of them. The prices listed on this site are average for a piece of the
set that is in mint condition. Pieces can be found at garage sales and
antique stores, depending where you find them the prices will differ greatly.

Please help identify the mystery set of dishes. This set was my grandparents dinner set. They lived on a farm near David City, Nebraska. Frank and Helen Kohout traded eggs for each piece during trips to town. This set was used daily, and my dad remembers using them growing up.
I added this listing on August 17, 2005. (Not for sale) |
Some History Behind My Forest Green Set...
I received my first pieces of Forest Green Charm Glassware
from my grandma, Mary Wheeler in 1996. My cousin Crystal and I split the
place setting of 8 and have proceeded to build on them. I have been working
to add to the collection since fall of 1996 and eventually I would like
to have a place setting of 12. Once I have a complete set of 12 I would
like to begin collecting the Ruby Red Charm Glassware for a Christmas
setting.
Some
characteristics to look for on the Forest Green Charm Glassware are gold
and green stickers with a ruffled edge. They say, "ANCHOR HOCKING,
GLASS CORP. LANCASTER OHIO, U.S.A." with the words, "Forest
Green Anchorglass" in the middle. The Charm collection is not marked
in the glass mold with a logo. Most of the pieces that you will find today
are missing the sticker, those that have the sticker will be worth more.
The Charm collection also has a starburst pattern on the bottom of the
plates and bowls. All of the plates, bowls, and coffee cups are square.
I currently use three books as reference, they are listed
below.
